About the Area

Nova Scotia's Evangeline Trail starts in Yarmouth County, covering one half of the south western tip of the province, and continues on to Mt. Uniacke, not far from Metro Halifax. In this region, the land and sea merge, the past lingers in the present and both French and English have found a home. Explore over 400 years of proud history and cultural diversity. Reflect on the strong Acadian and Loyalist influences.

Be prepared to stay awhile. Taste the Digby Scallops and Fundy lobster. Take in an Acadian festival and sample Acadian Rapure and seafood chowder. Discover the mystery of the Bay of Fundy tides.
