About Steve Kilb:
Steve was born and raised in Europe. His fascination for different cultures took him, in his early years, all over the world. After returning from South America, where he was working and traveling for over 10 months, he became a forester. He established a company that specialized in sustainable forestry and environmental assessment. "Trees have actually accompanied me all my life. That might explain my interest in wood, woodworking and woodturning" he explains.
Interest in forestry issues let him visit the Maritimes in May of 1990 for the first time. On this visit, he purchased an old farmstead in New Brunswick where he and his family spent a large part of the coming years. In 2001 he immigrated with his family to Canada and settled in the Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia.
